Fishermen on Inle Lake in Myanmar (formerly Burma) have acquired an ingenious way of manoeuvring across the water. They balance on one leg and wrap the other around an oar which they use to paddle. They demonstrate great control, often rowing through thick vegetation, and the technique leaves a hand free to collect nets and other implements.
